Rental Registration

Per Town bylaw passed in 2023, all property rentals (not including hotels, motels, and inns) in the Town of Orleans are required to be registered with the Town before they can be rented. Registration is quick and does not require payment or inspection. 

Registration can be done either online, through the Town's permit portal, or by filling out a form and submitting it to the Assessing Department in Town Hall. 

Click here to register through the public permit portal of the Town. Note: If you are new to OpenGov, you must first make a username and password before completing your rental registration. If you are already registered with OpenGov for other MA towns, you do NOT have to create a new user profile just for Orleans; you can use your existing login here. There is no cost to register as a user.
