Historic District Study Committee

Overview

The East Orleans Main Street Historic District Study Committee (Historic District Study Committee) was established by the Select Board in 2023 to make an investigation into the desirability of establishing an historic district along Main Street in East Orleans. The committee consists of seven members appointed by the Select Board. The study has now been completed, and after reviewing the findings, the district is not moving forward at this time. While the project is not advancing at this stage, the study results remain an important reference and may inform future discussions or planning efforts should circumstances change.
