From the Orleans Emergency Management Team:
This Friday and Saturday we will experience the coldest weather in several years. Our region will sustain subzero temperatures and dangerous wind chills.
Please check areas and locations in your home/facilities/properties which may house pipes or equipment prone to damage from extreme temperatures. Ensure that the ambient temperature is sufficient to prevent freezing. Moving water does not freeze easily: keep water dripping from faucets and leave sink cabinet doors open to keep pipes above freezing.
We recommend you keep your home warmer than normal and use heating appliances with caution. Remember to check on your friends and neighbors and keep pets indoors.
