Affordable Housing Committee
The Town of Orleans Affordable Housing Committee is composed of seven (7) members appointed by the Orleans Select Board. The purpose of the AHC is to enable the Town to create and preserve affordable housing for low- and moderate-income households. AHC works to creating housing opportunities for a diverse population, including all age and income levels, with particular emphasis on lower income households with the highest housing needs and persons needed to meet the workforce demands of the local economy.

Agricultural Advisory Committee
As authorized by Orleans Home Rule Charter Chapter 3, Section 3-10-1, the Board of Selectmen hereby establishes the Orleans Agricultural Advisory Council, a standing committee charged with representing the Town’s agricultural community with regard to sustainable agriculture-based economic activities in Orleans.

Architectural Review Committee
An Architectural Review Committee is hereby created and shall consist of five members appointed by the Board of Selectmen, preferably including at least two members with professional or educational backgrounds in design or architecture, two members with professional or educational backgrounds in historic preservation or with an appreciation for local history, and one additional member.
