We endeavor to provide the public with a greater understanding of the services we provide, both emergency and non-emergency. Our Paramedic/firefighters and Firefighter/EMTs stand ready 24/7 and are loyally-focused to help you in your time of need, and to protect our beautiful town.

Statistics
The Orleans Fire Department provides Fire and Rescue services for the Town of Orleans, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. While it is a combination of services, 80% of the 3000+ calls each year are for Emergency Medical services.

Town Demographics
Orleans is a somewhat small coastal town (i.e. on the ocean, a bay, or inlet) located in the state of Massachusetts. With a population of 5,820 people and two constituent neighborhoods, Orleans is the 233rd largest community in Massachusetts.

Apparatus
The department has 14 pieces of apparatus, all front line pieces (which means ready to respond). No reserve apparatus. There are 2 fire engines, 1 tower truck, 3 ambulances, 1 special hazards, 1 brush truck, 2 utility vehicles, 2 ATVs, and 2 boats.
